eheathBecause they want to drive traffic to their website, it's a very normal thing in the ski media industry.
EDIT: It's a very normal thing in the online media industry in general.

klutchedI mean i figured that was a pretty obvious reason but they dont have any ads on their website, and it doesn't really seem like they're making this for themselves or for any gain really. What do they get from sending people to their own website vs. the cash they could get by posting to ns and getting a cut from the revenue share program?
eheathFirst of all, they are a part of the revshare program. You do not have to post to the NS video section to be a part of the revshare program, inspired has been working with us for year and they dont post everything to the video page.
Second, yes there aren't ads now but the best way to generate revenue from a page view standpoint is to already have a shit ton of page views before you sell ads.
klutchedInteresting. Probably actually a good thing in terms of the ads you'll have to see to watch their videos. If you go to the slvsh website via NS then you only have to see banner ads on NS and since they post their videos to vimeo there is only potential for banner ads on their website as well, as opposed to before-video commercials, so essentially even if you visit both websites to watch the video you will still not have to watch a commercial before it... unless they can make it so an ad shows before the embedded vimeo video?
