Cork 7 blunts?

so I was trying some cork 7 blunts this weekend and I could just not get the grab. I can do cork 7s well enough and I can do them with other grabs but something about that blunt grab just doesn't seem to be working for me. What are some things that I could try to get that blunt grab with the cork?
