Part-time Ski Industry Jobs

When I was in college at DU and CSU, I used to ski instruct what's called "peak part time" during ski breaks and weekends at Snowmass. Peak part time means you have to work holidays and a minimum number of hours per season (usually 80-100 hours, so not that much) to be eligible for rehire. Not sure how many places are going to employ a high schooler for ski instructing, but you could probably get a job teaching the younger kids.

Im in my senior year and its my second year working in a ski shop. Highly recommend if you can, pretty kick ass job for a high schooler. Pay isn't always the best but the discounts and being around something you love makes it pretty great

RMU, Level 1 & Never Summer (they produce Fat-ypus and Icelantic Skis) are all in Denver. See if they offer any internships or small jobs.
Is STEPT still boulder based?

I don't know how things work where you're from, but I know a lot of places have volunteer ski patrol. I don't know if that's something you'd be ingested in.

This was my first thought too. How would you suggest asking for a job at a ski shop? Just walk in one day and see if they need any extra hands on deck?

I'd go in looking relatively nice, no 3XL sweatshirt and ask if they're hiring and then just talk about skiing. The more you can make them think you know the better your chances are.
