I know this is a great bag for resort riding and side country which is what I will use it for 99% of the time.
I'm curious though what you guys think of the 12L bag vs the 20L bag....im leaning towards the 12 just based on size. I don't really need to carry a lot of things...basically gopro, water, snack.
Is it worth upping size to the 20?

For resort riding the 12l is perfect. I can toss a full 2l bladder, a few sandwiches, an extra layer, and still have a decent amount of extra room for other goodies. The big plus to the 12l is that you don't have to take it off on lifts and you don't have to lean forward like you would with a 20l+ pack.

I have the 20L, and it really isn't big at all. I use it for a lot more than just skiing and it's honestly a lot smaller than most backpacks you'd see. Based on what you said though you'd get away with the 12L fine.

as stated above, 12l is fine. has enough room for resort riding and short skins. 20l would be too much.
