well i would recomend getting another sound card, usually ones that come on motherboards arent as nice. but they arent really worth getting anything special unless you plan on connecting subs and or sorround sound to your comp. you should have also gotten a higher processor speed than 2.2 atleast a 3.0

yeah definately, even some of the cheap 'aftermarket' sound cards are better than the ones that come with the motherboard. still sounds pretty nice tho

^^ your thinking Pentium 4 the architecture sucks so they need really high clock speeds to compensate for their terrible design. the 2.2 ghz athlon 64 3500+ has equivalent or better performance than a pentium 4 at 3.5 ghz. and when the 64 bit edition of windows xp comes out and 64 bit programs come out they will be even faster then they are right now.

well considering how my current comp is 555 MHz i have not alot of room to talk... but my computer that is all broken and shit is way nice, except that its broken

Actually, t-man...your claims are mostly correct, but very wrong in terms of smokes. I direct you to the following:
Tom's hardware CPU Specs of 40 or so processors. 64 bit processing still has a long way to go until it can flat out whoop 32 bit processors...and I'm not talking about the 64 bit version of winbloze. Hardware advances will make the real speed jump, not software.

p.s. Pentiums and AMDs are poorly done b/c they're still working off old instruction sets. Pentium still implies some of the original transistor designs on their chips.
