Anyone ever get charged with Breach of Peace, 2nd degree, misdemeanor in the state of connecticut?
Apparently, I got blackout drunk got kicked out of a bar, and tried to fight numerous people. and got thrown in jail. This is a nightmare because I have a court date not until December 4th, and court mandated drug testing till then, and I'm moving Monday to a place far away,,, so my winter is now ruined...
Anyway,
What defense did you make? What was the penalty?
Yes I know,
I'm a big dummy.

Even though I think breach of peace is a stupid, catch all law used when they have nothing else, you're clearly not getting out of this one if you were trying to fight a bunch of people.
If you can afford it, get a lawyer. I was arrested for reckless driving when I was 18 and my lawyer was able to get it reduced to a speeding ticket. That is entirely up to the judge though.
The Internet tells me that you can get up to 6 months in jail and a $1000 fine. Youll probably have to just pay a fine if it doesn't get reduced. I highly doubt you'll do jail time unless you've done this sort of thing before.

the longer that you can get it postponed, the better! I have had things dropped for me because i delayed them 3 or 4 times.
