Shaving your shins

So I'm sure there are some hairy NSers out there who struggle with wearing ski socks over their juggle-like shins. I am one of these unfortunate individuals. I am considering shaving my shins in attempt to please the snow gods of the mid west. Thoughts?

Why stop with your shins? There are balls, back, chest, arms, mustache, and ass that need shaving as well. On a real note, nobody cares if you shave your legs. I've been doing it for many seasons not only for skiing, but just chafing in general when wearing boots.

i used to get pains from this, but after shaving my shins a couple times, it stopped hurting.. maybe the hair follicles gained strength or lost pain reception? either way, your shins have to build up to the tolerance and physical demand of skiing no matter what

i have really hairy legs. Never shave them, and i've never had problems wearing ski boots.

Regardless of if you are squatch-level hairy or have as much body hair as gumby, properly fitting boots will grind your shin hair down to nothing right in the sweet spots.

I got snow yesterday and I live in ohio. Winter is like a person learning to slide rails. It keeps bailing on us lol

You're not skiing enough...let your leg hair rip out/thin. If you ski enough it stops falling out and just kinda thins out over your shin. You think long hair is bad? I bet stubble would be a million times more annoying. I've never shaved my legs, but ask someone who swims and rides... plus do you really want to have this thought one of these days this winter? "oh shit, I forgot to shave my shins" lololol

I shave my whole legs, no shame at all, I find the guys care more about my shaved legs than girls witch is weird but idgaf. It hurts way less to ski too.

I have hairy legs and I just take an electric trimmer from the knee down to thin it out. Otherwise the hair gets liked pulled when you have sweaty legs in ski boots.

Once upon a time...

I wanted to test if having hair on your shin would impact pain while riding.
I proceeded with the test, and shaved my left shin.
I lost all respect from my skier friends. I had to buy new swag and grow a mustache to create a new identity for myself.
Moral of the story, don't shave your legs because your friends will make fun of you.

Im not super hairy and my shins hurt a lot from my hair. My socks like tug on it and it sucks

If you ski enough you won't need to shave it, your boots will rub the hair off. But if you want to shave it off then do it, who cares.
