Now hearing that it could be as high as 30 - Unknown what the hell is going on.

Several explosions (possibly grenades) around the Stade de France, where there is a match going on. Two gunmen performing drive-by shootings with AK-47s, while 5 or 6 gunmen in the Northeast of downtown. There is also a hostage situation being reported. The incident is ongoing.

What the fuck is going on. This is horrific.

I'm listening to the french radio right now.

A guy that was in the concert room was on the phone. They entered the place and started shooting at people yelling 'allahu akbar'.

Fucking hell.

3 locations of shootings just reported on France24

1. Restaurant Petit Cambode - 4 bodies
2. Boulevard Voltaire
3. Rue Charon - 6 bodies

Police have confirmed 18 deaths so far but 12 or so more reported elsewhere and no updates. Okay, AP just reported 26 dead so far.

Police apparently are storming the theatre (Bataclan). The death toll is now 40 according to some reports. I suspect it'll end up climbing further, once the dust settles at the Bataclan unfortunately.

Actually the above might be wrong about them storming the theatre. That was reported by an eyewitness but doesn't look like it's the case from live footage.

This is correct. I am very confident saying that it's much higher than that, as for obvious reasons, the police and authorities have other more important matters to deal with right now than updating the media on death tolls.

holy fuck, my sister was in a hotel 10 minutes from stade du france this morning, caught a flight literally a couple of hours ago. Just got a call from her saying she is safe.

Police have updated count to 35 dead.

Now in a large shopping mall in the very centre of downtown Paris above the largest rail station in Europe there has been a further shooting reported.

I'm proud of the media here not jumping to the conclusion they're Muslims carrying out the attacks since we really don't know yet. They haven't even made assumptions on who it is or why. Terrible thing to happen.

There is absolutely no point in speculating about things that we have no information about when we already have a ton of unconfirmed and unclear reports to deal with as it is. In the next few days we'll probably hear more about who was responsible, but this is still going on so it's more useful to just focus on what the fuck is happening.

My guess: ISIS found a weak point of entry into the EU and then decided to conduct a series of random attacks all at once, probably citizens of the EU recruited by ISIS. Perhaps as an attempt to draw attention away from their main front line areas.
