If you've never heard of Hemlock, it's ok. Outside of BC (and to that extent the Lower Mainland) I doubt many people have. It's a small family ski area up in the hills not too far from Chilliwack (about an hour or so outside of Vancouver).

I personally find this news crazy. Sure, it's close to millions of people, but as someone who has been up to Hemlock, I can't see this being successful. It doesn't get that much snow (compared to others within the region: Whistler and Baker for example), it's VERY limited when it comes to vertical, and for the most part, the terrain just isn't that interesting in that area.
Either way though, it's crazy news.
