I was driving up Big Cottonwood today, and even though I am incredibly stoked for the winter season, as I was passing the climbing routes I knew I would miss them over the next couple months.
I know Wiley Miller climbs the same routes a lot and made me wonder why he hasn't done any mountaineering? He loves climbing and he loves big mountain skiing. Why not both? You are starting to see more skiiers that are really good at urban and park making there way to the backcountry or big mountain skiing. Sammy Carlson is a prime example. Chris Logan was in the very first 4bi9 vids and him and Parker White are slaying the backcountry/big mountain.
I love each and every aspect of skiing. I'm not bashing on park or making the BC look more appealing because that is what I mostly ride. I'm just wondering who do you think will be making the next transition to a different type of riding, or who have you noticed that has already?
