Your Rookie Season - what adventures would you choose?

Last season we sent team rider Kevin Salonius on a trip to discover different types of skiing throughout Europe, with his Amplid teammates in tow to help him learn the ropes.

If you turned pro and your sponsor was prepared to cut you a "realistic" sized cheque; what terrain would you learn to ride? Which resort/mountain range would you choose for your adventure? And who (which pro) would you choose to teach you?

You've got three trips so choose wisely!

I'd want to shred with Candide, Kye Peterson, or THall ( I know he's not on your team)

I think for me it would have to be either a summer tour of south america ripping the Andes or a Japan trip with some seasoned pro's who know the area.

Definitely not constricted to Amplid riders. Learning backcountry freestyle on the Balme, la Clusaz, with Candide would be insane.

Id take a trip to Alaska with all of the inspired crew flying a heli scoping out lines and shmokin some ganj with those dudes would be so dope

Apart from Japan which is for sure a pilgrimage for any backcountry fan, all the destinations are in North America. Nobody dreaming of trips to the alps or further afield like urban in Moscow or lines in the Himalayas?

Shred with Ian Cosco, do so backcountry freestyle stuff with whoever wherever because I've always wanted to go (dam you midwest), ski with real skifi because it would be so fun to fuck around

If Japan wasn't in the running, my second choice would definitely be somewhere in the Alps (Austria/Switzerland/Italy/etc). I've done one day each at Laax, St. Anton and some other Austrian place a little over 10 years ago with super crappy, old skis and would go back in a heartbeat if the opportunity came up. I loved the open terrain and would love to get at it again with the set up I have now....

Yeah the stans (Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, etc) have a ton of unexplored backcountry and urban spots.
