Soul 7s are not the right ski for you if you shred east coast. I have seen my friend borrow his dads and we were shredding some glades on a pow day. Send it off a ~15 ft drop and the ski cracked through the edge, sidewall, top sheet, and through the binding, but zero base damage so it doesn't seem like it was a rock. I've never seen that happen before but he said the skis were fun, just too intermediate oriented. I like the blizzard recommendation. They make some of the best skis you can buy imo

These might be a tad soft. I like the Peacemaker from Blizzard. The Kartel 106 might not be a bad option actually. My last ski to look at would be the Salomon rocker2 100s. Super solid ski, mid flex, has some versatility, great for hucking cliffs and throwing some spins off side hits.

the soul 7s are definitely not "classic" in any sense, the way i see it

im biased because i hate 5 point sidecut but soul 7s do not ski in a classic way. they want to make quick little dad turns. which is great if that's what youre into but i don't think someone who describes anything they do as "ripping" will find this to be their kind of ski

id look for something else. i personally can't stand the way 5pointers want to ski. just my 2 cents

Demo'd the Soul 7 and Shreditor back to back last season, and they feel very, very similar. If you aren't going to go Soul 7, definitely don't go Shreditor, don't really understand why people are recommending the Shreditor in place of the Soul 7. Both are soft, designed for slower speeds, easy to maneuver, etc. Honestly, I thought the Shreditor was even softer and less happy going fast than the Soul 7, but I could have been on too short of a Shreditor. Biggest difference is probably that the Shreditor is going to be happier skiing switch than the Soul 7 because it's less pin-tailed.

If you prefer skiing slow and are more of a directional skier, Soul 7 is a good choice, if you prefer going slower and want something more jibby, Shreditor is a good choice.

If you want something that can handle you charging a little more, and are more freestyle oriented, then the Blizzard Peacemaker, Kartel 106, or Line Sir Francis Bacon could be right up your alley.

Ive got the peacemakers and they are one of my favorite skis. Ive used them for everything and they work perfectly. Im looking at the super 7s and wondering if anyone has suggestions about those.
