qyleberryThat's some nice info! ^
Yea raging Buffalo is about 45 min south of me, I have never been there, but the rope tow sends me good vibes... (no lines lots of laps)
I didn't even think skiers went there until last year.... It is definitely snowboard infested, but I used to board so idc
Yea, Ik accu weather is not accurate for their month predictions, but it gives a good estimate, and I don't like it... but I guess I'd rather have shitty predictions and they go wrong and we get the snow and cold than they predict that and it never shows up.
qyleberryLike alpine and raging buffalo should be opened again soon
JohnThatWasTitsWhere are you going this weekend
jmellberg800i live in wausau so granite peak
SirBucklesWhere did you hear about raging buffalo, their website is in the stone age
JohnThatWasTitsI wonder if Grand Geneva will be open
qyleberryThey said on their facebook they were opening on Dec. 5th but that was like 3 weeks ago...
that is not happening now obviously...
I've just been checking all the mountains webpage around me because thats where you find out when they open.
JohnThatWasTitsYeah I might just go to Cascade then
qyleberryWho thinks they know which mountain in the Midwest will open first?

Steez_cakeI know for sure that nubs, boyne, and crystal will be open for the weekend
qyleberryWish those places weren't seven hours away from me... they look insane!

SirBucklesSomeone said in school that alpine is open? Can anyone back that up.
Fritz6Maybe Saturday. My buddy Patrick is on park crew. He said it is a possibility.
SirBucklesWhat sucks right now is if more ski areas don't open this weekend, they for sure won't open next weekend. It is going to get warmer.
JohnThatWasTitsWhat sad sad month. Of course right when it will get cold over Christmas break im going out to AZ for to weeks -_-
SirBucklesGo ski at Arizona snowbowl in flagstaff.
SirBucklesAlpine Valley,WI might be open this weekend.
qyleberryI'll definitely be going if they do...z
Do you live around here? Confused because your profile says your from steamboat...
sorry for stalking hahah
JohnThatWasTitsYeah I'll go to Alpine if they do, Hmu if You go
qyleberryI will, I'm not sure they will though, its suppose to be 40 and they aren't blowing snow today and its 35 high.... It will be fun as hell if they do open
john18061806Spirit was blowing and it was 33 degrees so they were just kinda soaking the base. I feel like it's gonna be pretty friggen icy tomorrow for opening.

SirBucklesIt's all good. I live a bit north of Chicago. I say steamboat cause whenever I go out west I typically go there. It's been my favorite mountain out of all the mountains I've skied. So I call it home.
SirBucklesI'm going to devils head tomorrow night. 3 runs open, a mini park, and night skiing.
ianrich511The strip of white carpet on Devil Heads snow cam is comforting.
qyleberryWow I need to stop looking at the weather and this thread... its just depressing...
I'm going to keep my self busy until it starts to get cold and I can ski
JohnThatWasTitswhat time ?
I'm either going to Cascade,Devils Head, or if it's open Alpine
SirBucklesAlpine is probably opening saturday. I might change plans and go to cascade. Depending on the distance. Im leaving 3:30 after school so I'd probably get there at 6:30-7.
JohnThatWasTitsSo you're going Friday?
AnesteeziaGranite is going to be open for a week tops starting today, then they are going to be fucking closed during Christmas break.
cjt121099Wait for it to show tuesday :), may surprise u
SirBucklesYessir, I'm going with a trooper of a friend who also is interested in skiing no matter the weather.
