.otto.checking out weather.com and acuweather.... looks like its going to be hella warm for a while around the grand rapids west Michigan... My hopes are that we open for christmas but that could possibly not happen... so anxious

Yeah...my resort has been blowing whenever they can...its just the accuracy of weatherchannel this year and the predicted 40s into the 2nd week of December that have me questioning if I will ski

I was thinking like you a week ago then we got a foot then it melted and accu weather is saying same for me...

I hope winter comes and stays soon because I skied one day and I want more!

yes... 40 and lows of mid 30s are not good... it looks really bad so far for michigan... i doubt cannonsburg will open until december 25 if they lucky...

Granite has been illuminated all weekend. Kids have been complaining about the ice, but is it really midwest skiing if you can't land sideways and tokyo drift all the way to the next feature?

Crystal was gonna open this weekend. Now we are looking at the 5th for opening if we get some lows. I've got a few day passes with my season if we end up opening before you

same.. looks like another month of warm for me too, this is hitting me even harder emotionally becaused we were so spoiled last year with 30 inches in november.. atleast for west michigan

Yea, my mountain was open 2 weeks ago last year!

A week ago we got a foot of snow so I skied on some small hill with some pvc pipes and then I got to ski at alpine (not home mountain) last Wednesday. When I woke up on thanksgiving all the snow was just gone.

Like wtf, I was living a good life for about 5 days and now it feels like spring!

I was so teased with winter, and now i have to wait another month or so if accu weather is right


I am very grateful for that snowstorm and those 5 days of skiing, just pissed it dissapeared

It's Wilmot Mountain, right by the border of Illinois and Wisconsin... it didn't even open when we got the foot of snow which surprised me

I believe I am actually suffering from depression caused by a lack of skiing. I didn't leave my bedroom today. Its like a dark pit of hopelessness... with no light in the future to sooth my soul.

I feel you bro! I thought that a couple of weeks ago and then we got snow and I was so happy! Now I'm back to sitting on NS and watching all the preseason edits

Why did winter come and leave so fast!

But you just wait! When winter does come for you, that first day you will be so happy, you just got to wait and see

I think for Wilmot, Wisconsin we will be skiing by 2nd-3rd week in December


Accu weather is showing last week in december is when temps start to dip, but I feel it will start to get colder sooner.

Hahah yea those places are 4 hours away from me, its raining here too. Alpine valley is 45 from me and they have a shit ton of snow blowers they keep opening and closing, but I will probably go there again...


I need to scrap up money for lift tickets... kinda wish Wilmot would open so I wouldn't have to pay to ski there...

Yea, I am happy there are a number of hills by me, so some are opening and closing and closing, so I guess this season I'll be skiing in many different places since Wilmot has yet to blow snow...

Some how other hills are opening when it's 40 out

Like alpine and raging buffalo should be opened again soon

I'm hoping cannonsburg opens on the 20th just in time for winter break. Until then I'll be driving north every weekend since places like boyne and Nubs seem to be about 10 degrees colder at night. If were lucky I've heard rumours of Crystal opening within the next week or so!

Raging buffalo isnt too far from me which is nice. I heard it has a ton of snowboarders.

Accuweather is BS past 10 days. They'll get the gist right, but it is so hard to accurately predict 30 days out. They do it for site views.

Wisconsin
Trollhaugen: 24" summit base, last snow 1" Nov 26.
Tyrol Basin: 24" summit base, last snow 7" Nov 20.
Nordic Mountain(Weekends Only): 36" summit base N/A last snowfall.
Minnesota
Hyland Ski & Snowboard area: 36" summit base, 4" last 72 hours.
Wild Mountain Ski Area: 36" summit base, last snow 2" today.
Mount Kato Ski Area: 24" summit base, last snow 3" today.
Buck Hill: 20" summit base, no snow last 72 hours.
Lusten Mountains(Weekends only): 18" summit base, no snow last 72 hours.
Afton Alps:12" summit base, 2" last 72 hours.
Buena Vista ski area: 12" summit base, no snow last 72 hours.
Powder Ridge Ski Area: 12' summit base, no snow last 72 hours.
