CabbyArrantgrand geneva Wisconsin is saying december 5th. BTW they are doing free lift tickets their opening weekend check their FB page
RparrNot Ohio, my home hill didn't open until jan 1st last year
qyleberryAnyone else think another mountain will open before Dec 5?
BrothsTopazHere in Michigan, the resorts usually open Thanksgiving weekend. But its all relative. If the temps are consistent with the 30s, then they have a reason to start making snow. It sucks we don't have anything yet, but the day will come.
BrothsTopazHere in Michigan
LonelyThe 15
CabbyArrantThere's a hill
LonelyThe 15 day outlook is concerning me. But a warmer start usuall means a more consistent winter. Not like last year where it was 16 degrees on thanksgiving and 50 degrees on Christmas. My bet is on my home mountain. Over the past two years they have gotten a tone of new snowmaking infrastructure.
qyleberryI can't even imagine waiting that long, waiting for December feels like forever, I was so happy last season when we opened on thanksgiving
CabbyArrantOp I don't wait I travel in excess of 350 miles to find skiable snow in november
BrothsTopazYeah the outlooks is consistsant with the 50 degree range which doesn't help. Let's hope we get a major cold spell and El Niño moves way south

BrothsTopazI see you're from ludington. I go thru that area all the time and definitely plan on hutting up caberfae and crystal this year. Add me up
Either way, this season is gonna be cold. And cold in Michigan isn't bad because those snow machines are kicking.
LonelyFor sure man. I'm up at crystal every other day practically. But yeah, it's like 37 degrees at my house and holding so I'm hype
BrothsTopazLet me know if it's ipen soon and I'll for sure be there opening weekend.
CabbyArrantDo I look like I'm trolling Op

.otto.dude.. thanksgiving? maybe up north... its usually a week or two or three after that..
we just got lucky with 30 inches in november last year
qyleberryDoes anyone know how accurate accuweather is? Because if it is the next month is not looking well for me...

Swandog7Accuweather has been the most inconsistent little fuck ever. I looked around Oct 20th and they predicted Nov4-Nov10 or so would be low 40s - high 30s and now its mid-high 50s. They don't predict low temps soon either now. They literally just keep raising their predictions as time passes. When Halloween hit it looked lied the week of this week would be cold and now its fucking 50 degrees. Wtf Accuweather make up your dam mind
john18061806Any forecast more than a week in advance is typically full of shit and just there for site traffic. They serve no purpose except for giving the website more attention. They're based off computer models that can predict short term weather but can't predict the weather as accurately as advertised for 45 days.
qyleberryThese make me feel a little bit better, but a month ago I wrote what they predicted for the next month and wrote down the actual temp that appeared for that day and their predicted temps have been lower than they actually were... I just hope you guys are right, because I won't make it if those are the temps for the next month and a half..
