eheathThere are many pro skiers that can't triple and the ones that can triple barely do so.
MinggSo is it one of those tricks that they'll only do sometimes in certain situations?
In gymnastics we had tricks like that. Skills you'd train but only actually did on the days of comps.
Just curious if it's the same way in skiing. I mean, all we really see is stuff that's filmed, so it's hard to know the background. Like is this something they do everyday or strictly for film? Do they have to have a special jump built to do it or can they triple anywhere? Like in my opinion all that stuff matters.
Being able to do something, doing something consistently, and being confident in doing it are all different things to me. So it would be interesting to see where triples fall in there.

Justin113i personally hope that quads dont become a staple trick to know
VANULARI really cant wait till some kids do all way triples and quads & hit the plateau of physical limitations....... you will see a huge fallout from kids signing up for competitive programs out of fear or loosing interest and it will force the sport to make a much needed change in formats... we cant just keep flipping and flipping... not many kids will dedicate a life of training to have to drop in and throw a quad every weekend.... Thats stressful and not really what freeskiing is about...

VinniCashthe juice isn't worth the squeeze.
white.powderI know this thread is kinda of a repost but not really...So many of you may have seen recently, the 16 year old snowboarder Marcus Klevelend just land his first a quad cork...so is this the start of a new era where triple corks are just a standard trick for a pro? Its sick for him that he land this and only 16 years old but...kinda think that this is not that good for the community, will the standard in 2 years will be doing triples at 11 years old? will style even be a factor of getting spansered or going pro? I think it is kinda not fair for everyone that wants to get in bigger and bigger comps because one day, you'll probablly have to do triples(or quads) constatly if you even want to be on xgames or those kind of big comps. We'll see...What do you think? I hope kids will look more at creative and stylish skier more than future spinner, but that's my opinion.
skiermanFrostgun Invitational is gonna be interdasting...
and no, you're wrong Eheath.
TaariqSaffouriSkiing should go back to style. Like who can do the steeziest dub instead of who can huck the gnarliest trip, while people are getting injured to the point where they can't ski anymore because they are trying to push the sport to unrealistic limits.
