The key factor for me is my ability to relate to to that particular film. The films I enjoy the most are the one that I can relate to. At least for me this is content from Nimbus, LTC, and the Level one guys. These guys usually have films or segments that tell a story and make me feel like I'm actually there. I think I enjoy these best because it usually triggers good memories of skiing more so than just aesthetically appealing content. What type of film gets you going? What do you enjoy watching the most?
plot in ski movies can either enhance it or take away from it. for me, just showing small bits of insight into the vibe of a jump session or urban spot does it. I think stept did the best job of using a plot, like shea flynn's mutiny segment, and the small interviews they do with the crew.
