SurfaceHoarChatter Creek and Mustang Powder are probably the best choices.
I think K3, monashee, great northern, retallack, baldface, valhalla, SWS, White Grizzly are also really good choices.
I'd avoid RMR and Big Red Cats, but you can't really go wrong with any choices.
Generally speaking the further North, and the further West the better the snow is.
Something worth mentioning, is that CMH is offering 50% all heli packages for this Dec/Jan. Which means you can go Heli for cheaper than Cat Skiing if that's your fancy.
CrankyThanks for the suggestions. I read something about mustang powder being a good place to go to. Is that true
DrailMy vote goes to retallack. The lodge is on the highway: easy to get to. It's got some pretty choice terrain and a nice enough lodge. It's the best I've personally been to.
I may or may not have a bias opinion on the matter.
I've heard good things about chatter, but have not gone there myself.
Valhalla is good, but the commute is a bit long from the office to dropping in for your first run.
Stay away from Big Red Cats and RMR (Revy). Probably want to avoid Selkirk Wilderness as well.
SurfaceHoarTotally agree that Valhalla has a long commute. but it's also priced about half of what Mustang charges. So it's a pretty good option, especially if you use the savings for a day or 2 with snow water
Curious why you say to avoid SWS? I haven't skied with them, but i do own property directly across the lake from meadow mountain. that mountain holds snow much longer into the spring then others peaks that face the lake. it's not as steep, so that's probably why. Maybe storms come down the lardeau river? I do agree that Retallack has better snow and terrain.
SWS/meadow mountain is on the right.
