Replying to Full Tilt Descendant vs original Booter
I have the original wide last Booters (bright orange) from a few years ago and was wondering if anyone has input comparing these to the new wider fit boots from Full Tilt? It took me months to finally get my original boots tweaked enough at the ski shop to fit like a glove (footbeds, booster straps, heated and stretched out the shell, shaved some of the liner, etc). Yet I feel like the original boot itself was poorly constructed to begin with. The buckles are cheap and prone to popping off, and the shell never seemed to fully wrap around my shin like FT has claimed their design does. As such, I always felt like there was inherent slop between my shin and the tongue.
I didn't plan on buying new boots this season, but I am very tempted with the new Descendant line. They look well constructed, much sturdier, and with a better fit. So NS what do you think? Does the new design solve past problems with the wide last models? Is it worth the upgrade?
Thanks for your input!
