AltitudeFotoLook at there website, It clearly says tommorrow
FIRETHECANNONShaha no I meant I am going Saturday
chiefclulWould love to go, but you know its going to take 3+ hours just to find parking and get on the lift for one run. I love that place and would love to get on skis, but not for one tourist filled icy run. Ill just ski in my backyard and wait for Keystone to open...

gavinrudyHa guys chill out just go ski and have fun, doesn't matter how many people or what features.
mitch.lukesNo loveland never has a park setup opening day

Troy.Seriously, I've skied 4 days already this season, and 80% of it was skiing on rocks.

casualFucking rad day at loveland! Snow quality was great, and 4 quality features setup. A flat box and flat tube alongside each other on the same lip, and then a drop/cascade single barrel rail on the right and another longer box setup on a mellow down on the left. Nothing too crazy, but for a setup in October, the park crew did a killer job!!
And, for the record, Loveland has over twice the acreage of ABasin open, and less than half the people. You never waited in line longer than 5 minutes maximum, and even that's a stretch, where at ABay, it was a full maze and a snaking line up half the dam open terrain, basically all day.
Abay is a really rad place, and I understand epic pass holders going there, but honestly, if you're buying a day ticket, loveland is a no-brainer. Not to mention, you can get a 4-pack ticket at Loveland for 139$.
I can't tell people enough to check out Loveland. It gets overlooked a lot, but it's fucking an amazing place. For the right members (meaning you've been here a long time, I like your posts, you seem cool), I might have some tickets for you...
TotallyTrevorwell you don't really go to A-Basin opening weekend to ski.
Standing in line, yelling at people, seeing every skier that you know from Colorado, and getting stoked is all part of the fun. It's for the experience, not the skiing. with that being said I'll either be there Saturday or Sunday
gavinrudyGrew up skiing Loveland and am so into that mountain. The opening day setup looked sick from the little content bits I've seen and I'm sure the terrain was dope as well.
That said, don't try to flaunt a mountain by talking down an opponent, let the positivity of your mountain be enough to draw a crowd. The line at the Basin today was far from what you exaggerated it to be, most I was standing in line was 10 minutes, but averaged around 5 minutes.
I would definitely agree with you that Loveland was better on opening day but let that speak for itself and not toss negativity towards the Basin.
Great day at the Basin, too. So many homies, great fun, lots of side hits and mogul pops. Really stoked the season is on its way in.
casuallol, dude.....you know they have realtime webcams? So I'm lying about a full maze and an amorphous line working back up the run? Hmm....
And, I like ABasin and said as much. I also said other true things such as, we have more coverage (not an opinion, it's fact), we have over twice the vertical/acreage (fact), and there's no comparison between how many people cram into ABasin vs. Loveland. Everything I said was true, and beyond that and when it comes to my opinion, I'm gonna give it how I see it.
I'm not a marketing director or some shit dude, I'm an hourly shlub who likes to ski and would like to see more people come and ski what I think is a truly great mountain. I don't really give a shit if my post "put down the competition" or whatever you said....it's just one guy's opinion, and I like Loveland a lot better than A Basin. You don't have to agree, but I find you trying to take me to task over that post pretty funny. You're killin dude.
And, if my post turns you off to Loveland, or anyone else reading it, well, they probably are butt hurt little babies who live to get the internet outrage machine cranking along so they can tsk tsk or whatever.
