Park Team

Should I join my local park team? I really enjoy park skiing and the obvious thing to do if I were passionate about it is to join the team but I'm unsure. My really close friend who I ski with most of the year said he isn't doing the team. I know the coach after he gave me a few private lessons but I'm just not sure. I want the freedom to just ski and not have to be on a team and shot up every weekend but how else can I improve my skills?

Never heard of a park team. Sounds cool though, I personally would prefer to progress on my own. But you may actually progress faster if you're surrounded by people who are better park skiers than you

The thing to do if you're passionate about skiing is to go have fun skiing. Not saying you can't have fun with a coach but the way to show your passion for skiing is to do the sport. The way you will improve is by trying new tricks and skiing a lot. A coach isn't gonna whisper some abra cadub12ra spell to make you do dub 12s. It all comes from you

I think it's a good idea of joining the team. Aside from having new friends, you can also learn new things from them. Improve your skills together, join contest that might improve your confidence and self esteem. Just give it a try then!

I found the best way for me to progress was to ski with better riders. They like to push you to try things you are uncomfortable with and it usually (USUALLY) turns out good.

I'm petty sure there is but its for the "beginner" group ages 8-12 I'm 13 and don't see myself as am beginner. So then the regular team is $1080 for everything. I'm thinking about doing dry land training with them and making friends with some of the guys on the team but not joining yet due to the money and where I'm at.

Just know what you're getting yourself into. I know for example Holiday Valleys "freestyle" team is just a bunch of free riding and moguls (according to a friend who participated in it). If you're gonna be constantly lapping the park with better riders, then go for it. But don't get dragged down by a beginner group so to say

I do team its over 3000 but it helps so much even if youdont progress much in terms of tricks your skiing skills wil skiing 6 days a week and you get yoked like i ski 5 or 6 days a week on team with kids who are way better than me you learn a lot and im only 14 so we arent to different we even have collin collins as a coach he is sick
