This is a counter to THEDIRTYBUBBLE's depressing book thread, because I've never actually read a book that disappointed me.
The Art of Racing in the Rain is a phenomenal read, along with It by Stephen King.

Rosa_Park"It" is a really good book. My dad grew up in Bangor Maine where most of his books are set (since Steven King lives there) and he was in middle school when that gay kid was thrown off the bridge. that actually happened. When I was little I went to my grandparents for halloween and Trick or Treating at King's house is scary AF, he has a legit real life haunted house. it has like moving bookcases and shit, and his fence is black iron and has little bats welded into it and spikes and shit.
