Aidin954So a friend and I will be in CO for some college visits and we really want to get a day of skiing in. We'll be visiting the University of Boulder on November 6th and were wondering if any mountains near there would be open on November 7th and if any Newschoolers wanted to show some East Coasters where it's at!
drumbumocdpAbasin and loveland will be open by then. Coppers projected date is Nov 6th, Keystone is opening on Nov 7th. There are cold nights here so I'm guessing everyone will be able to hit their projected opening days. All of those are 1.5ish hours from Boulder

TheDoughAbidesEldora would be your closest but it aint supposed to open til the 20th. But Eldora is a much smaller mountain, comparable to your average east coast spot in terms of size alone (great views of the divide though).
If I were you I'd shoot for those two resorts off Loveland pass everyone else keeps mentioning. They're most likely going to be your only options for the duration of your trip and they will give you a more "rocky mountain" skiing experience than any other spot at this point in the season.
