paige.McConkey was the guy to go to for knees for the last twenty plus years. Unfortunately I believe he's retired now and I'm not sure who people are using instead.
Yup, McConkey is retired now. Are you looking for a private surgeon or public sector one? If you're looking for a publicly funded surgery in Canada and time is an issue getting the surgery done in the US might be a better option. Wait times can be longer in Canada.
From my understanding seeing a surgeon is often based on where you live. I've never had to go under the knife myself, but the surgeons at Sea-to Sky Orthopediacs would certainly be familiar with the process in Whistler.

From what I've been told Dr. Clark is good, and seemed very nice to me. Dr. Brooks Hill might have the most experience out of all of them, but last I heard she was on mat leave (maybe she is back now). Dr. Taunton is (or was) her locum, and seems to have an extensive resume. Not to mention, her dad is a legendary Sports Med doctor in BC., and was certainly one of the most passionate medical professionals i've had the chance to meet.
If I were you, I'd start looking there.
