So recently I snagged a pair of 176 NFX's for park and icier days. Also alongside those I Center mounted FKS 140s. My other skis are camber/rocker Q-98s that are traditionally mounted 172s. How will the two compare? Will the NFX's feel bigger or heavier, or will having them center mounted actually make them easier to turn and rotate?
I just rode my new 168 moments yesterday for the first time. I had 148s until then. The length didnt throw me off at all, and for you 4cm should be no different. I didnt get to hit jumps though. I don't think the NFX are heavier than the Q-98s anyway, and if they are, it should be a very little difference. The Fks are a little bit of a heavier binding, but worth the burlyness. I got pivot 14s on mine (same thing) and i felt a little weight on em, but i had squires before and almost twice the lightness of my old skis. Seems as if you should be good to go. It took me about 45 minutes to adjust on rails. Jumps might be a different story
