Replying to No helmets, is it a style thing?

ok lemme preface this by saying i am in no way insulting people who choose not to wear helmets and this is an honest question i have.

every day i see more and more edits of kids shredding the park in specific without helmets. some times they are great and others not so great and i will admit i do like the look of no helmet better than that of with a helmet. but i cant help but look down on those refusing to wear one unless the jump is huge and think to myself "Why in the Fuck are these clowns not wearing helmets?"

i understand that style makes up about 60 percent of how someone is perceived in this community, but is looking good really worth jeopardizing the one organ that matters most. sure i get that its a dangerous sport but you should at least try to lessen your chances of injury/brain damage/death by just strapping a tiny plastic shell on your head. tbh i just dont see the reasoning behind it, and i think its pretty dumb.

tldr: why the fuck do people not wear helmets? is it for style? are you estupido?
