Cut to fit insoles worth it?

I bought a pair of boots last year and was pretty tight on cash, so I didn't bother with insoles or anything like that,i got dalbello voodoos upon 2 fitters fitting me to them. I had some discomfort throughout the season in my feet, do you guys think it would be good to invest in aftermarket cut to fit insoles? ,I just dropped like 500 bucks on new a new set of skis and bindings so I can't afford custom ones. So should I buy cut to fit or not bother and wait until I can afford custom ones?

It depends on how good the shape of the pre-fabricated insole is compared to the needs of your foot. The best trim-to-fit I have seen is from Aline. They work super good actually, provided they are right for your foot. Other trim-to-fits I have seen are not that great and can sometimes cause more issues than they solve but again that depends on how they jive with your feet.

have you heard of any bad things about them? Like should I stay away from them or go for em?

Superfeet are meh, I've often seen their product take a decent foot and put it more out of alignment. But again, if they work for you then they will be ok. Just make sure to have an actual fitter do the assessment, not just some normal sales person.

I would agree about the superfeet trim to fit options but they do have a semi custom option which could work. They are calle custom carbon and only cost about $100. They are formed to your foot with the vacum method but no adtional adjustment is done after hence the semi custom. They will fit better the the ttf as they are shaped for your foot so if you can't affor full custom they are your best bet.
