Replying to Full-tilt McFly
For those of you who don't know there was a big uproar in the sneaker head community today as its the Day Marty McFly returns to the future and puts on those future nike shoes called 'air mags'. In celebration of this day Nike announced that it had indeed created an updated version of the air mag now with the power laces that we saw back in the 1989 film. Power laces is a lacing system in which the shoe feels the weight, pressure areas, and length of your foot when you put them on, it then estimates the dimensions of your foot and then tightens by itself to your foot. Given the tall and slender design of the shoe I immediately thought of ski boots. In theory a mag ski boot that is loose and super easy to put on and then once on tightens by itself to your foot. I thought the prospect was cool, would you like to see this technology expand to skiing, if so how much would you consider paying for such a boot?
