Where to buy a #3 posidriv?

I need one to mount my skis and can't for the fucking life of me find one. Checked Sears, Home Depot, and lowes with no luck. The only ones I can find online are $20 or more plus shipping, and I'd rather not pay that much.

Is there anywhere I could buy one in a store? Or one I could order online that's not gonna cost $30?

A phillips head will work and since you are only doing it by hand the heads will barely strip, if at all. If you are dead set on having no slippage and a perfect screw head you can order posidriv bits off of sears.com for $3-5. Amazon also sells bits with free shipping for under $10 just try searching pz3 as that is typically the code name associated. If you don't want to go that route look at smaller hardware stores in your area, they are typically more willing to help you find and order a screwdriver for a reasonable price.

So I'll definitely be fine with a Phillips if I'm somewhat careful? I'm not gonna use a drill to put the screws in. I'm just afraid of stripping them because generally it takes some work to put those screws in

You'll be completely fine with a #3 phillps.

Don't use a drill to put the screws in if you are new to this. It's very easy to both strip the holes and also destroy the screw head if you are not carefull. Screws should not be too hard to put in by hand so long as you have the correct size hole, have tapped if required and your using some glue to help. If you are unsure of any of this just have a shop do it and mate even show you how for the future.

Yeah it's my first mount but I have a woodworking background, and everything I've read has said to hand screw them in so that was the plan.

I've used phillips bits and have had no problems, even on remounts. It really doesn't take much work to put them in considering you are drilling out the holes first.

Awesome. I'm gonna check out my local hardware store and an auto parts shop and see if either has one for like $10, and if not I'll just use a Phillips. I just don't want to strip the screws
