Replying to How did you make it through college and ski a lot?

First winter in college and I'm wondering how the hell broke college kids afford to drop money on skis, gear, lift tickets, and all the other things your parents use to help you out with when you were younger. I got a winter job working at a resort to cover lift, but I feel like my earnings along with spending's will limit the amount of cool trips I can take and gear I can buy. Im trying to work out west during the summer to get my foot in a door at some resort or something, but I want to know how you yourself did it and what helped. I need advise, save my future!
