Attack 13 bindings vs. STH2 13 binding?

I will be mounting one of these bindings on my sfb's. I'm wondering which binding is more trustworthy and has an overall better feel. I'll be skiing mostly all-moutain. I can get the attacks for thirty dollars cheaper.

Imo I'd go for what's cheaper. Attacks and STH have easy step ins, both are pretty light weight (attacks are slightly lighter I think) and both have reliable releases.

Any difference between the 2015 attacks and the 2016?

I beleive not, I picked up the 16s at a sale for cheaper than 15s online and they look sexy. Pretty sure it's just color for this season. I do know they made an attack 11 & 12. The twelve is built like the 13 but lower din and like .2 lighter, the 11 is all plastic and light. I wouldn't bother with the 11.

I have attack 13s on my punx, I like them a lot, however I had several unwanted pre releases that injured me, something my fks 140s never did in the four years that I ha them. I might have to play around with the settings. I also don't like how the brakes screw into the skis core. Nonetheless, I like the attacks a lot, especially the low stand heigh.

bring them to a shop, might have to adjust the forward pressure or even the height of the afd, it is suppose to have a .5 mm gap between it and the bottom of your boot, anything over or under isn't recommended. Typically they use a piece of plastic to measure this but I found it is about the thickness of 2 bingo tickets if you plan on doing it yourself. Might also be because your boots are worn down.

This. All things being equal I'd always choose ride the STH over anything else but I end up using the Attacks because of money. They are also significantly lighter which is nice. I've never had an problem with them.

Edit: For only $30 difference, I'd still probably go STH

To add on my first comment, If not were the same price, id go STH2s. In this case, id go attacks but it honestly doesn't matter

Just snagged Attacks this year for a new setup, but have been riding sth2s on two other pairs; I'm gonna say from feeling them, and clipping in on the carpet, the attacks feel a bit less beefy, but still pretty solid. Haven't really heard any bad things about them. As someone mentioned, the attack brakes look to drill right into the core, whereas the sths just unclip from the binding, and you can swap them out, so you might want to keep that in mind if you end up snapping a brake...
Overall, I'd say Attacks are a bit lighter, and a bit more "plasticy"; whereas the sths are beefier, and heavier, and a bit more solid feeling... Hope that helps.

attacks have a lighter toe piece with a horizontal spring (lower swing weight)

sth has a burlier toe-piece with a longitudinal spring (lower pre-release)


the heels are the same. if you like a lighter setup go attacks, I feel like I don't have a toepiece when I skied on them, they are so light.

if you're a boss you can take a running start and jump into your sth's the toepiece is so huge.
