With that I even feel like there was the same rumor floating about in the 2014-2015 thread... If this doesn't happen I may have to employ that .gif of carl's up there, ha.
Ahaha, ya beat me to it on the last page Kbob! Thanks! THEY HAPPENED! Looks pretty paratrooper, I'd wear one if the ear covers are removable though. Ear covers that can't be removed are a deal breaker on any helmet because they always look awful.

I'm pretty certain its happening. I saw Joss using them at xgames and one of the guys at my local shop who worked for Oakley and still has connection there said its a go this year.

Just saw u posted this. Lol i totally agree. If the ear covers aren't removable that will really suck. I think they are though. I'm trying to remember back to xgames if joss had them removed.
freeski1620Been skiing JJ Zero for about 2 weeks now off and on. cant wait to get AR8 on my feet. Though I think its going to be in 176 which is a bit of a bummer.

Here's a pic from Joss's Instagram and it looks like the ear pieces are removable on the new helmets.
loganimlachThe THall, AR7 and PC were the exact same footprint with varied tail stifnesses. Secret: the new AR8 is the Pipe Cleaner, we couldn't leave Torin without a ski.
Can you shed more light on the K.U.F.O. Series? Did the construction remain the same with the caruba core, etc?
Also, what do most people opt for with these? Skiing a bit shorter than normal, or staying true to size? For reference I own a pair of 185 JJ's. Would someone in my shoes opt for the 177 or the 186 KUFO 103's?

loganimlachEssentially because there was a lot of people who loved the old ARVti. The new ARV series is a bit more playful than the old metal bomber and since it and the EDollo had the exact same footprint we gave the Al Dente some added stability without the added weight of metal. I don't know if you'll see that in marketing speak anywhere, but that's the reason.

they are for sure happening. In the catalogs and everything. they are ugly.

Cheers.
Correct, caruba core with some carbon tape. There is also a sneaky layer of titanal underfoot for binding retention. The 186 kufos will ski a bit longer than your 185 jjs because the tail extends through the back of the ski where the JJ has some tail rocker. It all intends on your style and preference I'd say, some people prefer something shorter on a pure touring ski for weight savings and kick turns but personally I would rather have the extra weight and harder time up for more ski on the way down.
jcadoes anyone know how the QST boots compare to the MTN Lab last/weight/walk mode wise?
Just a quick comparison from last years mtn lab to the specs on that QST chart look like the mtn lab comes in at around mid 1500g mark while the qst is 1600g, 98mm last on the mtn lab vs 100mm last on the QST. I'd assume walk modes are going to be similar considering the QST is very mtn lab-like this year, but we'll see.

Would you consider the new Al Dente to be a happy medium between the ARVti and Dollo?
I have the 188 ARVti as my daily driver, but always wanted the Edollo for park, my only worry is that it might be too floppy for my 6'2" 185lb frame even though I enjoy a buttery ski.

-WZ-did a bit more digging and found a quote saying it has a 40 degree walk mode
damn those would be dope for me if they were a bit lower volume than the mtn lab, oh well.
new outsiders are going to be insane. Went from 109 to 112 underfoot which is going to make them even better. Surprisingly one of the most fun skis I have ever rode on. Can hold it down on groomers pretty well but in softer snow/spring snow/pow they are beasts
cydwhitYeah, they're rad, and they're measured in inches, not centimeters.
why? inches and the rest of the imperial system is retarded. so stupid in fact that only three countries in the world use it. The United States, Liberia and Myanmar..

England uses it too, but in limited form, which only makes things more confusing...
Great article I really enjoyed. I'm definitely looking forward to all of next years skis. I was most surprised about the poacher I would have figured it would have been a softer flexing ski.

Julius_SteezerWe use it for dick length and pretty much nothing else

there is only one flag on the moon. It is measured in inches.
Love seeing pros on here but curious the AR8 is exactly the same as the pipe cleaner no difference? They are still sick and I plan to grab a pair of them and some ARV96s too so you cant unsell me here, so dont held back tell me everything.
PS anyone know anything about next years Rossignol slat?
