So i have never skied sunday river, but having a quick look at webcams shows that there is literally zero snow, i appreciate that there is snowmaking but 19th seems early?

Props to sunday river if they get it done, but 5 days to have it open? I realize they are only opening one run but seems ambitious. Also seems like a waste of time if you live more than two hours away, one lift and one run is gonna make for next level gaper crowd

They can make enough snow to open in like a day and a half

that's if its sub 28 degrees non stop. if temperatures flare up during the day or if it rains then they would be set back

I'm fairly confident they will be open, they wouldn't announce this and then not open unless they are almost certain they can do it

The place where they are making snow is not visable by webcam, its kinda behind a ridge

yea they usually will have a thin ribbon on the upper mountain w possibly some rail features if were lucky

That's true, I'm just salty and should be more grateful. We've got good mountains here, but it's rained a lot last year and probably this year as well. But even when it's bad, it's still good.

They always have a little hike park in the beginning that has like 10ish features. nothing great but its skiing.
