I already Hopped on the MIPS bandwagon a while ago, No sense in ditching the added protection to save myself a few dollars. If it was just hype I would have most likely never purchased the Receptor backcountry MIPS.

depending on the size of your head, if you would fit into a small adult helmet, you can buy the kids medium for around $30. Tis what I do!

Sadly Im a mens size large... downside to having a big noggin. Thanks for the advice though

That being said, if you have a friend who works in a shop, I believe the smith discount on 3point5 brings a smith holt down to $30 and you can buy 2 of them at once. So if you have a friend with a large head that works in a ski shop, they can likely purchase for you as long as they don't anticipate needing a second helmet for the season.

I'll have to do some digging, Not going to have much luck finding anyone near me. Maybe if I go up to Boston or up even more to NH or VT I can find someone
