Turning x crountry skis into park skis

Ok so this is crazy but bear with me at a local thrift shop they have a lot of skis especially cross country skis which are super cheap and have a tonnnn of flex and camber. So is it possible to put a little reinforcement on the tip like wood or duckt tape, grind the scales out and put some bindings on them and just butter and break shit if they Beak after like one use i dont care they are like 10 bucks

Cross country skis have zero sidecut so you wont br able to carve on them. Good luck though I'd like to see how this works.

Should I do one ski on each foot or put two together some how so have 4 skis toataal you know i mean? like 2 on each foot?

With the old classic skis OP is likely to find at a thrift shop it seems like it would be cutting it very close if it is wide enough. I've seen lots of footage of people jibbing on xc skis but never with alpine bindings.

Unfortunate this will be your issues. You won't get an alpine binding mounted on them but just use XC boots and bindings. No point doing it half way

If they are full wood you can bend the tails with some hot water, the bottom of a door, and a brick, just sand off the protective coat and go at it. Wood skis will have almost zero torsional stiffness so have fun trying to hold an edge. I think the minimum width of a ski for bindings is in the 60mm- 70mm range, any thinner and you'd probably rip through the sidewall. Older bindings will probably be skinnier between mount holes and in either situation I'd imagine you'd have to mount them yourself.

If it isn't a wood ski you can probably melt the crap 30 year old epoxy or whatever they used with a heat gun and bend them in a door.

It will work as long as they are wide enough, they are more or less traditional skis with more camber, just grind or scrape away the directional base scales and hopefully you will still have an edge afterwards.

I tried this before but they were too narrow to put even kids bindings on them. geze toe fks might work if you have any of those.

either way you will be burning like a pair every day of serious park riding, you might as well just buy some straight skis and jump on them until they are noodles.

Well i have skis i ride i just wanted to do this to screw around I'm not actually making legit park skis. and if they are to narrow i might just put two on each foot 4 skis total but still 4 edges mostly

thats actually a pretty good idea and would work well xc skis have literally no shape to them at all

Yes thank you the only thing is idk how i would put them together like a mix of epoxy calking super glue gorila glue hot glue and krazy glue and duct tape the crack?
