Forward Mount ski Rossignol

I got given some skis for my birthday from my coussin who used them before me, he had them mounted back near the tails and my uncle works at a skis shop so he said he could remont them I asked for a more forward mount them my cousins so he gave me the mount postion in the picture, after looking at them they look like they are to far forward
is it okay to ski like this?. someone told me that it can be better for sking switch but im not really sure. any advice on where i should them or if they are fine the way they are.

Also I cannot tell if your picture is goofing with me or not. Those old axial bindings have the same effect as fks, making them look further forward because the heel piece is so short. They do look super far forward. Best way to tell is to flip one ski around and place them side by side.
As far as will it hurt the ski, it will change the way they ride. I tried to get a pair of chronics mounted around 1.5 forward of center but the shop wouldn't do it. There is a whole thread on this topic with a lot of naysayers and a few people all about it.

Yo that pic looks forward past center, which would lead to really bizarre play. I wouldn't keep them straight center either, maybe a little forward from traditional. I have defiantly found that center mounting an a-semetric ski, although (in theory) giving you better balance, is messing with the actual ride. Im not saying mount traditional either thats way far back. Theres no mogul lines into rails these days. You don't need them that far back.
