Smith Maze MIPS?

Does anyone own one yet, I have a Receptor Backcountry MIPS that is getting tight and on cold days it breathes way to well. Are they comfortable and stable without ear pads and either a buff or beanie and goggles over the ears? any info on either the Maze or Maze MIPS is greatly appreciated.

I have the maze, not the mips one, but it fits good with a balaclava underneath for me. I also have the ear pads out. I love it

I have a Maze, no mips.

It's the lightest helmet I've ever worn. I can hardly even tell it's on. Plus, it's comfortable and has held up pretty well for a few seasons now. Thinking of replacing it with the newest Maze. I have the earpads out, and i usually wear a buff on my head or a thin beanie underneath, nice and warm and comfy. I also wear my goggles under, of course.

It's a pretty differnt fit to the poc. The poc I find quite narrow on the temples but the smith felt quite a bit wider to me. To be honest neither fit me really so depending how the poc works the smith may or may not. Go try it on before buying for sure.

That's my primary issue with my POC helmet, the temple pinch so it might be worth it

Yeah it certaiy got wider then the poc. Personally I found it a little deep but better then the poc. Maybe look at the salomon brigade. Tht is such an underrated helmet. I always try new things but alway seem to end up back I the brigade.
