just watched the faction crash edit and noticed that when tom granier checked out his junk he was wearing some impact shorts. Are most urban riders wearing some protective gear under their outerwear? Also what do they do to keep the effect of all the slams on their body down?

I started wearing those last winter once I couldn't walk for like 2 weeks from a hip bruise, I have the burton ones they work pretty good.

i managed to break a plastic insert on the RED impact shorts, surely it saved me from serious injury, i wear them anytime my snow pants go on, as well as bike riding.
the urban is at such a high level that you really need to have a helmet on

I got some protective shorts meant for football. Still got a hip pointer. A little back protection is absolutely where it's at if the place you ski at gets icy.
