Jon_Tafferso im sitting here rehabbing a torn ACL and it had me thinking. when i get back on snow, it will likely be a year since ive skied. if anyone else has taken a year off, whether it be for injuries or not how long did it take you to get back to skiing at/close to your old level
It depends on the person. How old you are, your physical condition, and your mentality toward skiing coming back.
If you're still hungry to shred and learn tricks I think it'll come back pretty quickly.
Sometimes just go hard preseason/early season and you'll be back where you were by mid season.
That said I missed a couple seasons at different points, and after the last ones and some good knocks to the head, I really didn't get many of my tricks back. Not that I couldn't have, but I just wasn't in it the same way mentally.
If your knee is in good shape and healthy, you do your pt, and your heads in a good spot, you should be fine.
