Okay I am almost at enough funds to get my new lens. (rokinon)
I already have a 14mm and I am looking to get something less wide.
I am looking at the 35mm, any opinions? anyone got any ski edits with it?
I will be full framing it with sony.

p.hawksIf it is for an a7, check out the voigtlander 40mm f1.4. I believe you want the multicoated version as the single coated is supposed to be better for B&W photography. I really like the 40mm focal length on my 5d, so I have been looking at this lens (and will buy it when I sell my 5d). If you want AF, the zeiss 35mm f2.8 appears to be pretty popular and not too expensive.
cdipI dont have an adapter, so I was looking at mainly sticking to rokinon. The zeiss caught my interest though.
Would you happen to have any videos of those lenses in action? Preferably sports?
nutz.they make one for sony a mount too i believe
SkiLefleyI have a Rokinon 35 mm for my GH4 and love it. Super detailed lens! Haven't used it for skiing yet.

Two videos my partner and I put together. Everything in these 2 are filmed on either a Rokinon 12mm, 35mm, or 85mm. The wedding video we only used 12 and 35 so you will be able to tell more of which is which. Love the lens, looking into a 24 next tho for my Ronin setup.

ZachatacWhat do you guys think about the Sony a6000? I just picked one out and got a Rokinon 8mm, the Sony 50mm, the 16-55mm kit lens and a glidecam HD 2000. I was able to get everything very cheaply so I had to jump on it. Think that'll be a good starter setup to film skiing or should I look into purchasing a prime lens in the 14mm to 20mm range at some point? Btw those vids with the GH3 of skiing and the videos posted just above all look amazing.
