I live and ski around Boulder, CO. primarilly at A Bay and a few of the other summit county resorts. I was able to snag a pair of 185 JJ's from a few years back (not 2.0's). I am curious if these skis are going to be big enough for me though after reading testimony after testimony of how short they ski. Don't want to mount them if they aren't going to be the ideal option for me. I'm 6'0 and roughly 200lbs ski about 60 days a year and have been since I was 3. Haven't spent a lot of time on rockered sticks as my budget for skis has been pretty strict recently. My last ski is the 186 (really 183 rossi s6's) I like these but get tip dive in deeper days at 110 under foot and full camber. I assume the JJ's would be way snappier, and float better but how much better?
Im 6'1 185 and Ive got the older JJs. Honestly there has been 2 or 3 situations where they have felt a little short. Granted I was straight lining various things that should not have been straight lined. For how much fun they are and perfect in the vast majority of conditions I have put them through, its totally fine that a few times they have felt too short.
