FKS 140 or STH 13

They're both good bindings. Realistically, bindings don't make any difference. Mount whatever you want guarantee you won't be able to tell the difference.

Thanks man I can get the STH 13 with the ski for around $900 which is pretty cheap where I live :) the FKS would make it $977

STH are better. More adjustment. Better warranties if buyin from shop. Also elasticity is a win. Would highly recommend STH, I love mine. And if you can get them for cheaper do it.

I have STH on most of my skis and love them. From what I have heard, STH are easier than FKS to put back on in pow if they release. While I have never had any issue putting my STHs back on, I haven't skied FKSs so I am just going off of what I have heard multiple times. Both are great bindings.

FKS don't feel to hold as well, I'm not sure what it was, I just didn't like them as much. They didn't feel wide enough. Also the brakes have issues and are a bitch to fix.

I woukd only say the brakes suck because they blow to replace, but it's pretty rare to break em. I had a pair of squires and liked the step in. I now have a pair of pivots and attack 13s and like the wide toe better in the attacks. I do I like the simplicity of the attack but if I'm riding all park I'd go pivots. For his case, STH all the way. If I do anything else other than park I would go sth or attacks. Way 3asier to step in and I like the wider toe peice.

no one's mad, but learn to use the forum a little bit better. My rough count had 7 threads in just the last three pages with discussion of sth or pivot/fks. The topic has been discussed ad nauseam all over the internet and plenty of its fair share on this site.

nothing useful is making another thread on a topic that has been beat to death.

I've owned both and think both are great. At the moment all of the skis in my quiver have salomon bindings on them but there are plenty of people that are the exact opposite. I thought pivots were excellent for jibbing around the mountain on a playful pair of skis. The elasticity was noticeable, I ran my DINs lower than my sth. Pivots are a pain to step into with any type of ice/snow buildup on your bootsoles and I bootpack often. None of this is new information.
