But totally worth it ended up having to pay 800 dollars which is better than the near $2,000. best time of my life for sure! hoping to be able to be a jc next year to get more time there.

akprojecktif you and coach nano were my freestyle coaches i would come all the time, i know the park kids loved you and nano the entire time they were there, it needs to be more like a park rat type of system not just birthday parties and babysitting.

JoshWongI can put in a good word for you. I don't have much power in actually hiring. The best advice I can give people wanting to work at any camp is to get your application in as soon as they start accepting summer apps. And also start volunteering now for kids programs or other jobs with kids. That kind of experience will put you above anyone else

I'm pretty sure everyone on NS just wants Brooke Potter as their coach anyway. I heard she's the most attractive coach at Woodward. If you promise to get people coaching sessions with her, everyone will come. And you'll still be doing day care.

APunx176$289 for a barn pass? That's an amazing deal! Too bad living in Colorado is crazy expensive. I was going to move there next year but I decided on SLC instead because of how much cheaper living is.

JoshWongFor those of you who don't know, I have worked year round coaching and counseling at Woodward Copper for the last 2 years, going on 3.
Over the last 2 years we have seen a significant decrease in "core" customers. This obviously is a real bummer for the employees working there. We are slowly becoming more and more like a glorified daycare.

So why am I making a thread about this...???

Because I want to fix this problem! I want to see actual skiers and snowboarders working on actual tricks. Not just 35 little children jumping into foam pits.

Ya know I am happy you are standing up as an employee for Woodward Copper to address this issue. It is true. As an 8 year local of summit and a member of the over 30 dub club, I see the daycare issue more and more each day. A lot of it has to do with price, but also things have gotten so much more organized leading to a stronger business model and better profit margins.

I remember when Woodward first opened its doors back in 2009 : http://gazettephoto.mycapture.com/mycapture/enlarge.asp?image=22684371&event=709197&CategoryID=47346 People were stoked and it seemed like they were progressing almost more - people as in ADULTS not children. I was so stoked to learn a new trick that day - can anyone guess what it was according to the photo? haha

Maybe a good suggestion to everyone on here would be when is it NOT surrounded by kids everywhere? Are their ANY off peaks times that favor adults? How about an adult only session? How about a couples night? An over 30 night? A woodward parents only night? What about "working man's hour" where you show a local pay stub of the county is get a discount and prove you work for a living.

I think theres a lot of room for improvement with woodward and its good to see someone over there is trying to take action. I'll probably be there more this winter, practicing 90 % bed tricks I learned from watching T-Hall online. 1080 log rolls are hard!

Ryanvdonkany discounts on a barn pass? unless dragon is one of the sponsors i don't think i qualify for the industry pass. i did have a pass last season and probably used it like 35-40 times with my roommates. we went like 3 times a week. just don't have a spare $300 this year.

Breaking_RadWhy not reserve the super tramp and two other tramps for coaching and a certain level of user that is truly progressing? Call it the Progression Zone. Not working on something inverted or off-axis? Stay out of the Progression Zone and go bounce your birthday cake/Orange Crush filled-ass into the foam pit or the daycare tramps.

There will still be a ton of under 10-year old SOBs jumping all over the place, but at least they would be sequestered to certain areas and give the true ballers and coaches peace to ball and coach.
