Love land is getting a new lift installed Right now

Whats up So sick the summit county traffic and overall BS. I got a Loveland pass this season in addition to A bay Keystone because A51 is just to much fun. But for the deep days Loveland is sick and way better then A basin. IMO a basin has lost that local spot feel everyone an their brother goes there and claims "they got GNARLY in the BOwls man" . With that said PALI will always have a specail place in my heart.

Anyway I saw loveland is getting a new lift does anyone know if its highspeed? Thats my one complaint about that place is the lifts are slow. But you know thats what makes the snow last longer so Im coming around to it. If anyone knows please let me know. Super pumped for the season to start and rip some Ridge laps. And cant wait for some sunny park days at Key. I dont post much so go easy. Any info or news is appreciated.

Also Im living in Golden and not in summit for the first time in 6 seasons. Anyone who wants to Car pool? I have a Subie but it would be nice to not always have to drive.

Yea your right its mad old and sketchy but goes straight up and rarely has a line but fuck im over a basin I think loveland is much better anyways

Yes, everyone should keep skiing Zuma Bowl, its south facing open terrain is incredible, there is def nothing good off of Pali. Stay off Pali.

It is not a high speed lift, it's a fixed grip triple.

Basically old chair 2 has been split into two lifts.

The new lift aside, some really amazing things in the works at Loveland in terms of increased cat skiing opportunities, and the Ridge continues to develop. In the last 3 years, more terrain has been open and more often than probably at any other time in the area's history. Keep your eyes peeled for announcements about some cat skiing accessing new terrain in the near future, hopefully this year.

Loveland has a mixed rep, and I can see why (the runs are relatively short, it is cold and windy, visibility can be tough, etc.) but I really believe that it's an area with a bright future and really fun terrain. There's no pretension or bullshit at Loveland, it's only about the skiing, none of the amenity nonsense.

I really recommend everyone who likes to ski all mountain, or powder, or back country-like terrain to come give Loveland a shot. It's deceptively big (relative to what you see from 70), and there's pretty much every aspect and pitch you could ask for, much of it above tree line and with natural wind lips, cornices, etc. I love the place, the employees are great, the ownership cares about it and has invested big money recently into terrain and infrastructure, and despite not being wall to wall thigh burners, there's some really fun hike-to or FREE cat accessed terrain, and a cool up-hill policy. Not to mention, you can access some amazing sidecountry/backcountry through gates leaving Loveland with easy hiking.

If you're in the area this year (anyone local to Summit/Clear Creek whatever) and wanna give Loveland a shot, lemme know.
