the nfx is a stiff comp ski and the afterbang is a damp noodly ski for fucking around.

they're pretty different skis for different styles of riding, but thats alright, Just think about how u like to ski, you skiing ability and your size. The NFX is a great park ski if u like to really charge at big park features and go big on jumps. The NFX is a high performance ski and is really stiff, so it will be able to handle what ever you throw at it, perfect if you a bigger guy or doing comps. The Afterbang is a fun jib focused ski for someone who just wants to go at a mellow pace in the park, butter around and do more technical rail tricks on small/medium features. The Afterbang has a slow but durable base, and thick edges so it can take abuse from the rails, but unfortunately if you plan on hitting a lot jumps the ski will likely delaminate quickly. If you are a rail rat tho, and not about that jump life, then the Afterbang will be what your are looking for.
If your looking at park skis, NFX and Afterbang are at opposite ends of the spectrum. If you want something that's sort of in between the two and is under 300, check out the K2 Shreditor 92, Atomic Punxs, Armada Ar7, or if u can find them cheap, Line Chronics
its not a bad idea to look at some used gear either, u can find some pretty good deals.

The flex pattern on these skis are COMPLETEly different, Its like trying to eat a soft noodle compared to a hard noodle. (stiff=nfx soft =afterbang)

These are unrelated skis, a weird comparison IMO.
All times are Eastern (-5)
