speed is your friend
come in with speed, carve, start to turn and pop or lean back, land on your tails and get me to flex, butter around and then pop back to switch

well that changes everything...regular tail butter 1s are a bitch.

Just carve sw with speed, pop and rotate a bit more than 90 then pressssss and get backseat af, if you're doing it on a knuckle just finish the last 180 in the air.

how would you do a regular tail butter 1? just land pressing your tails? I cant really picture one and its confusing me

Just pop up and press your tails into the ground getting back as far as you're able to/comfortable.

ok, gather around children.... we need to avoid any margarine influences...
while skiing backward, you should be able to carve smoothly... you should also learn how to hockey stop while traveling switch... as well as switch ollie... pop from your tails while traveling in reverse.
once you can really take advantage of the entire flex of the ski, you should be able to put your weight into the tail of the ski while doing switch carve in whatever direction you feel comfortable going...
switch carve initiated , slowly and smoothly transfer your weight to the back of the ski and you will magically pivot back to forward, while still flexed in the butter, you should be able to pop as you straighten out.
