it sounds like Roner's death yesterday was a total fluke ... a really basic skydive turned into a total tragedy. it sounds like a fluke the way Sarah Burke's death was a fluke. not really doing anything too out of the ordinary.

he was a legend and still is, and will definitely be missed, and didn't deserve to die young
but I mean he overdosed on heroin, seems kinda out of the ordinary

Watch "Steep" and you'll see that death has been an ever present force in skiing for a long ass time. This is nothing new and it blows worse than a 13-year-old girl with braces.

This is the price we pay for pushing the sport. It's especially sad that most of the names you mentioned had families of their own. It breaks my heart that kids and spouses have to live the rest of their lives without them.
