Winch Vs Bungee

With the ski season approaching I have been thinking about what type of skiing I want to do and I have decided lapping park all day won't cut it. I want to get into skiing some street.
It will be my first year skiing street and I am debating purchasing a winch or a bungee. I plan on skiing more street in the years to come and was wondering if a winch will be a better purchase in the long run or if a bungee should work for now. I don't plan on hitting anything where I would need a ton of speed but I'm not just going to just be hitting tiny hand rails all the time.
I know this question is probably asked a lot but I just wanted to know your guys opinion on a winch or a bungee.

This question isn't really asked a lot anymore. If you have a question and since the searchbar is shit go on Google and put newschoolers after your search terms. I think winches are for bigger features with more space and bungees are for features where you don't need a fuck ton of speed and there's less space. I think you would be good with a bungee for now. just don't get a 10ft bungee. that's a waste of money. 20ft is the way to go. 15ft will be less than half the power between the 10ft and 20ft.

I wouldn't even consider a winch. That's way too expensive. Plus banshe bungees come with a free sticker

If you want to hit massive features that require a lot of speed then winch. Banshee is much more practical, cheaper, and easier to move around than a winch. I recommend banshee because winches are expensive. You can just use a car and get towed in if you need more speed.

buying a bungee is around 200-300 while buying a winch is about 1600 to 2500. you can build a winch for about 500 but it all comes down to how much time/money you want to invest in your street skiing endeavours.

I built my winch for like 150 dollars. If you have the right parts lying around, it's pretty cheap and way easier than a bungee

The small motor works just fine, getting a bigger one between now and winter break. We'll be up to 15 hp then

You could also build a bungee, which obviously won't wok as good as a real Banshee Bungee but it costs way less so you won't have to worry too much about damaging it.

Look for these things on Amazon:

braid the bungee cord until you reach the size you want, cut, and then attach the handle.

BUILD A WINCH YOURSELF. Its relatively easy to do, and will cost you about 500-1000 bucks depending how you build it. It is DEFINATELY worth it. There are lots of plans online, Im building one right now.

What are you using to transfer power from the motor to the spool? My issue with mine is a centrifugal clutch just doesn't harness enough power so I need to get a torque converter. 15 hp seems like massive overkill

My old one had a centripetal clutch and I'm not sure what I'm going to do for the new one... And yeah 15hp is a lot but I have some big plans... (30 foot road gap)

You can get 50-60 out of a 7hp motor. Adding a bigger motor does nothing if your clutch system can't handle the power
