B dog vs ar7

I'm getting a new pair of park skis after I out grew my Rossi storms. From of prices and durability I've narrowed it down to the Armada B dog and the ar7. I'm mainly a east coast tree skier, but being on the east coast there isn't always enough snow to ski. I like to have fun in the park and around the mountain, hitting trannies, odd jump/rail lines, and tons of butters. I'm not sure if the B dog is going to be too soft for me. The Storm was a relatively stiff ski compared to the Line anthems I used to ski, but the anthems were too soft for bigger jumps. I want to have fun fooling around on a wider surface but still want to be able to hit bigger jumps when I'm feeling it.

I would reccomend the armada that'll, it's the same ski as the ar7 as far a shape but it's a little bit softer

Skied bdog last season and pipe cleaner/al dente before that, and i would say Bdog would be perfect for you. Al dente/Edollo is probably a little to soft for you but i find bdog to be more stable then al dente. But the perfect mix of Ar7 and Bdog is T hall or Alpha X.

Thall = AR7 just softer

Alpha X = Bdog just stiffer

^He knows what he is talking about. I personally would be leaning towards the THall/Ar7 for the East Coast but that's just me.

yea it depends on what your going to do with these skis. If you're 50% in and out of the park i would go ar7.

The ar7 is a great park ski but it also absolutely SHREDS all over the mountain. its stiffness makes is less playful then the BDog but also makes it a great ski to rip down bumped up steeps and cut hard in tracked up trees.


Ar7's only really struggles in any fresh snow above 4 or 5 inches.

I skied with the Bdogs all last season and I loved them. Their super buttery and have lasted me over 50+ days of skiing 98% park. Handle really nice on rails and also do go in powder.

How do they do on bigger jumps? Btw I have a dedicated pow ski, so this will be for park, fooling around, and bumps.

Their fine on larger jumps! but their a great ski for jumping/buttering around. super fun and playful. but if you hit jumps alot more than jails I would go for the ar7's. But the Bdogs are fine on 35-40 foot jumps. I cant tell you how they are on larger jumps caz I havnt hit anything larger then that.
