Armada Alpha X

My friend has a pair and he loves them. They have a medium-softish flex, and are somewhat wider than the alpha. I've rode alpha 1s (the ones with the space graphic) and they had a medium-stiff flex and were a lot lighter.

i bought some alpha x from a dude on here last season. I didn't really ride any other ski the rest of the year unless it was a deep day or something. They are bombproof. They are stiffer than the alphas but incredibly playful still. super buttery. being a bit stiffer, you can get away with more in choppy/charging situations and big landings. They carve like crazy so it can be fun sometimes to drop your poles and surf around. I rode them 7 days a week from like decemberish probably through april and then probably another 15 days this summer and they're still in basically the same shape i got them in. not sure if the alpha is skinnier than the alpha x. that might be false. i know the halo is skinnier but anyhow the alpha x is 94 i believe. and it has the race base so they're really fast most days. you can't go wrong with the alpha x. i hope somehow my rambling helps in a way. i just love this ski

So i'm actually on the 2014s. but a guy i worked with got the 2015 bdog and it was the EXACT same shape as my alphas so i suspect they used the same mold to press the 2015 alphas. especially having the bdog as its flexier counterpart, my guess is that they didn't change the alpha much if at all. you can't go wrong IMO. They almost took me a day to get used to just because they're so responsive. this ski makes you feel super stylish and most of all, they're just FUN
